Perry Nichols' Book Perry (Ped) Nichols was born on July 1, 1890, and died in 1975 at age 85. He lived in Farnhamville, Iowa, as a boy, and then, at 14 years of age, he came north to the area just north of Ogilvie, Minnesota, around Ann Lake. These sections of his autobiography deal mainly with his life in that area. The family also lived in Mississippi and Chicago. He married Alta Benson, who came to Ogilvie with her family (Jake Benson) in 1910. They had lived in Waterloo, IA, before that. Jake died in 1943. Alta Benson Nichols died in 1980 at 85 years of age. There are several sections to his story. We have left them essentially as he wrote them on his typewriter, including his spellings. Once downloaded, it is easiest to read by printing it out.
