Practice Solving a Rectangular Gnomon Problem

This applet is designed to give you some practice with solving one particular type of rectangular gnomon problem. Here, A is a blue rectangle. Your task is to determine the value of a so that the red L-shape is a gnomon to rectangle A. When you get bored, investigate the effect that the length of rectangle A has on the final solution.
