Grades: Your grade will be determined from scores achieved on (1) three exams worth 100 points each, and (2) your lab average worth 100 points. The grading scale is: A+ =98-100%, A=92-97%, A-=90-91%, B+=88-89%, B=82-87%, B-=80-81%, C+=78-79%, C=70-77%, D=60-69%, F<60%. You must have a lab average of D or higher in order get credit for this course.
Our schedule is on the back of this syllabus. The exam dates are firm. There will be no makeup exams or labs. However, your lowest grade from all of the exams (Exams 1, 2, 3, and the Final) will be dropped. Your lab average will come from your 10 highest lab grades. You will still be held responsible for the material covered in all labs covered in this course (even for a lab you may have missed). Do not arrange to leave town prior to your final exam unless you are happy with a zero grade on the final exam.
Homework questions
will be assigned, but not graded. It is up to you to complete the work
by the assigned date as indicated on the schedule. Answers to the
homework will be provided so that you may check your work.
Dishonest work such as cheating or plagiarism will not be tolerated and will be handled in accordance with the St. Cloud State University Conduct Guidelines.
