2007 Northern Plains Winter Storm Conference
 
The Second Annual Northern Plains Winter Storm Conference
will be held Wednesday, October 24 through Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Kelly Inn in St Cloud, Minnesota. The conference is sponsored by the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences of St. Cloud State University, the SCSU student chapter of the National Weather Association and the Twin Cities chapter of the American Meteorological Society. Conference Topics will focus on aspects of winter weather in the Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies, including synoptic features, mesoscale structures, wind effects, cold season microphysics, and radar. A case study workshop and an evening banquet with speaker are planned.
 
Take a moment to browse the program. We are requesting abstracts from both the operational and research communities. The conference is informal and first-time participants and students are especially encouraged to present a talk or poster at the conference. All abstracts must be received by Friday, September 14, 2007. Call for papers.
