EAS 380 Assignment 1 Surface Station Location

Due: Monday, 31 August 2009 at the start of class (WSB 41)

On the provided base map for Minnesota and vicinity

  1. Plot the location of each four-letter surface station identifier as a dot at the proper location. (0.5 point each)
  2. One point should be plotted for each station that appears in the area of the map. Surrounding state and provinces should be included.

  3. Identify each plotted station with the correct four-letter station identifier. (0.5 point each)

Use the latitude and longitude as provided in the list of surface station identifiers.
Notes:

  1. North latitude increases upward and west longitude increases to the left on a surface map.
  2. Use nearby plotted stations to compare latitudes and longitudes.
