EAS 486 Assignment 3: COMET Module on Conditional Symmetric Instability

Due Thursday, January 29 by the start of class

1. Go to the UCAR Meted Web Site at http://www.meted.ucar.edu/index.htm
2. Log in to your account
   1. If you don't have an account, start one using the buttons at the top of the page
   2. Set me as your instructor (email: raweisman@stcloudstate.edu)
3. Click on the category Mesoscale Met
4. Click on the Module: Slantwise Convection: An Operational Approach
5. Go through the web cast (use Internet Explorer) - takes about 1/2 hour
6. Go through the case study.
7. When you're done with the module and the case study, return to the MetEd Mesoscale Met page and take the quiz associated with the Slantwise Convection: An Operational Approach module.
8. You have to take the quiz at one sitting, so make sure you have enough time.
9. If you have me listed as the instructor, the program will email me with your score
   1. Otherwise, forward the email you get from the Meted/COMET system to me.
