Bob's area of concentration is the forecasting and analysis area of the meteorology program. Bob runs the forecasting contest for Saint Cloud and another city each semester. Bob's research interests include all types of weather that affects the Northern Plains, although his New England background broadens the interest to all types of weather. Bob's outreach efforts includes working to improve the access to emergency and weather information by deaf and hard-of-hearing people, being the local contact on current, emergency, and historic weather for media, schools, and other individuals.
