Near Park City, MT, is an active Osprey nest. Viewed from I-90, it’s backlit, making for poor photos:
but those are clearly a pair of this year’s young (09Aug10), as some straining with the photo makes even clearer:
Off the highway, one can come at the nest from the south:
but I never could see the second youngster from here, stand on the car roof all I wanted:
You’ll have noticed all the unusual nest material. Also notice the change to the power-pole that has occurred since we first discovered this nest, on 06Jul26:
There’s no doubt it’s the same pole.
