Okay, so not all of these are road-kill, but am I to scorn to photograph a Downy Woodpecker because she died flying into a window?  Or this Grey Fox, who died, who knows how, or why?  In fact, non-SUV-slain is nearly always (this mysteriously decapitated Possum being one exception) less unappealing.  But road kills are my bread and butter; only this way would I ever see a Bobcat, a Barred Owl (pipe that eyelash!), or a Badger’s Paws up close.
